Acid Mothers Temple & The Cosmic Inferno - Doobie Wonderland

8.5 - Japan - 2013

A relatively accessible AMT album. The usual squalls of noise are very much toned down here (only the opening title track features those sometimes tedious sheets of extended dissonant guitar din, and even then it's relatively mellow). Most of the album is based around repeated clean guitar chord vamps that at times border on disco. "M.J. Love 666", which appears to be about Michael Jackson being (or being in league with) the devil or something, is a particular highlight. Noise you can dance to.
